Michael Pugh
Former Head of Campaigns and Organising
Michael oversees NEF’s three flagship campaigns for a Living Income, Great Homes Upgrade and Homes for Us, supporting NEF’s team of community organisers to build power with communities across the country to win change.
Michael has been involved in community organising for over ten years and has organised with trade unions and civil society organisations in Australia, Hong Kong and the US. At home in the UK, he worked for Citizens UK, leading on the Living Wage Campaign as well as building and supporting civil society alliances to win change on housing and refugee resettlement.
He is also a Churchill Fellow, having travelled to the USA, Canada and India in 2019 to visit pilots of a Universal Basic Income, before becoming Co-founder and Director of the Basic Income Conversation.
